Beware of elevator overheating!

Q: What are some common elevator malfunctions during hot weather?
Sudden "strike": The elevator suddenly stops during operation, the screen goes black, or the floor numbers jump erratically, causing a fright.
Door opening and closing "lag": The doors either take a long time to close completely or suddenly "pinch", with significantly reduced responsiveness.
Uncontrollable, "temper tantrums": Automatically returns to the first floor or the nearest floor and automatically opens the doors, finding a place to "lie down and cool down".
Q: Why do elevators "act up" in hot weather?
"Brain" heatstroke: In hot weather, the temperature in the machine room may soar above 40℃. The elevator's control cabinet contains many electronic components. When the temperature exceeds the rated operating temperature, the components overheat, easily leading to performance degradation or "strikes," similar to a phone overheating and lagging after prolonged use.
• "Blood vessels" dry up: Elevator guides require lubricating oil to maintain smooth operation. In hot weather, the lubricating oil easily becomes thin and leaks, leading to a lack of oil and increased friction between parts, just like a person's movements slow down when dehydrated. • "Breathing" difficulties: Poor ventilation in the elevator shaft, and the heat-sensitive fans and sensors in the car may cause motor overheating or sensor component performance drift in high temperatures. For example, the door light curtain or safety touch sensor may "malfunction" due to high temperatures, misjudging obstacles, causing the doors to repeatedly open and close or fail to close.

Don't panic in case of a malfunction
If trapped, call the 96333 hotline or the maintenance phone number on the maintenance notice board in the car. Emergency personnel will quickly locate the trapped elevator and arrange for rescue; you can also press the emergency alarm bell in the elevator to contact the property management office for assistance. Note: If the elevator uncontrollably returns to the first floor or an intermediate floor, it is not a fall, but an automatic return to a level for self-inspection. The elevator has multiple fall protection measures and will not suddenly fall. Therefore, if trapped in an elevator, please remain calm and do not pry open the doors!
Pay attention to details daily
If you notice any unusual noises, stalls, or difficulties with the opening and closing of the hall or car doors, inform the property management immediately for early inspection and peace of mind.
Maintenance must be effective
1. Regularly check the machine room temperature and install heat dissipation equipment (such as air conditioners and fans) for cooling and ventilation; 2. Check whether the frequency converter, contactor, and relay are overheating, and clean the dust in time (dust accumulation easily leads to poor heat dissipation); 3. Check whether the cable insulation layer is aging (high temperature accelerates aging), and whether the terminal wiring is loose (thermal expansion and contraction easily leads to poor contact); 4. Monitor the temperature of the motor shaft bearings and the lubrication of the guides, and replenish or replace high-temperature lubricating grease. 5. Check the door slides, belts/chains (high temperature easily causes deformation), clean foreign objects, ensure smooth door opening and closing, test the speed limiter, safety clamp, photoelectric switch, etc., to prevent malfunctions or failures caused by high temperature, and do not wait until problems occur before repairing.
